Petrol Coffee roasts a fine bean and we believe in their product in a "two cups a day" kind of way.
So when co-owner Chad Smith approached us to build the second incarnation of their website, we were excited. The original Petrol Coffee Roasters website was designed nicely and implemented using Apple's iWeb. Chad wanted us to take the site to the next level, including a more unified design, integrated blog entries, recipes, and an online store. We thought this sounded like a blast.
During the design phase we created a template website with revised layout and navigation. We kept the strengths of the original site while cleaning up the previous layout and working with Chad to streamline the navigation.
During the implementation phase we turned the templates into a Drupal-powered website and installed the files on his webhost. Now Chad can easily create or edit content on the Petrol Coffee Roasters website in real time by logging on and using a convenient online form.
We are still working with Chad to add set up online sales from his website. Ubercart is free Drupal-based e-commerce software is a great fit that will let him sell via the payment gateway of his choice, calculate weight-based shipping fees, and track sales and inventory.
